West Gate Tunnel Project – closure of M1 outbound lanes

West Gate Tunnel Project (WGTP) has announced that all lanes on the West Gate Freeway outbound between the West Gate Bridge and Millers Road will be closed from 11:59pm Friday 29 August to 5am Monday 1 September.

Major delays expected of an extra 2hrs+ when travelling outbound via detours. Heavy congestion expected.

Heavy vehicle detours have been published, and there will be truck curfew exemptions on Whitehall Street and Francis Street (Docklands Hwy) during the M1 closure period.
