NHVR Master Code Launched – Container Specific Advice & CoRsafe Free Webinar

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) has launched the 2026 Master Code of Practice providing an authoritative source of information concerning safety in heavy vehicle transport.
The Code provides guidance on managing hazards and risks, and about risk assessments and risk controls. It is a key safety tool helping parties in the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) to meet their Primary Duty under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL).
The 2026 Master Code has transitioned from a role-based structure to an activity-based structure. This change focuses on the risks associated with transport activities, rather than a specific job title or role, shifting from the compliance-based mindset to a holistic, risk-based approach.
Importantly, the Code now contains specific advice regarding the packing and transport of goods in shipping containers (Activities 42 to 44, pages 82 to 84)
Aaron Louws from CTAA Alliance Partner, CoRsafe (NTI), is teaming up with transport legal specialist, Nathan Cecil, Partner, Holding Redlich, to once again help unpack the new Code in a Free Webinar – Wed. 18 February 2026 – 10am to 11am (AEDT) – Register: HERE
