FTA Section 77G Depot & Approved Arrangements Forums – SYDNEY – Wednesday 1 May 2024
May 1 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
CTAA thanks Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) for inviting CTAA Alliance companies and contacts to attend their upcoming Depot Forums in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane.
There has been an alarming increase in the number of Australian Border Force (ABF) Infringement Notices issued against S.77G Depot licensed facilities, including $600K in penalties issued in one quarter alone (July to Sept 2023).
The largest categories of penalties are for breach of depot license conditions, moving, altering or interfering with goods under Customs control without authority (or directing another person to do so), as well as making false or misleading statements.
At the Forums, senior officers from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) and Australian Border Force (ABF) will deliver presentations on emerging reforms and current compliance activity to assist in managing Section 77G Depot and Approved Arrangement facilities.
Each session will be facilitated by leading biosecurity and approved premises expert, Andrew Christie – Andrew Christie Consulting
