DP World Australia (DPWA) has announced that import containers at its Melbourne Terminal will begin to be sampled and weighted on a calibrated PONDUS Stand from 1st Oct 2023.
DPWA has reminded stakeholders that any container having an absolute weight variance greater that one metric tonne compared to the recorded Verified Gross Weight (VGM) will attract the “weight mis-declaration fee for import cargo”.
