DP World Brisbane Terminal Equipment and System Failures Lead to Significant Landside Delays and Added Costs

This past week, Automated Stacking Crane (ASC) failures and maintenance issues at DP World’s Brisbane Terminal have caused significant landside transport delays and added costs.

All facilities can experience equipment failures … it happens to all of us. The benchmark however is how DP World will work with landside transport operators to deal fairly with the congestion, delays and container backlog caused.

Most of the machinery has come back online this weekend, but the delays remain an issue for collaborative effort and flexibility to overcome this weekend, into next week and beyond.
